Wanted: Cook!

6.     Pag-halu-haluin ang toyo, asin, bawang, pamintang durog, kalamansi at sibuyas. (tikman kung masarap ang pagkakatimpla!)
7.     Ilagay sa kaserola at pakuluan.
8.     Matapos lumambot, ipirito na sa kawaling may mantika (opkors, may mantika!)

anony-chicken with slightly sour sauce 02/26/12

i'm thanking this opportunity na nakapagluto ako for my siblings! We prayed and ate our lunch together. Super nag-enjoy ako. Thank You God! (Indeed, anything happened and happens for a reason)

P.S.: Sarap daw ng niluto ko at they really love the sauce!

sincerely yours,
Master Chef Eri

have you ever really loved a woman?

To really love a woman
To understand her - you gotta know her deep inside
Hear every thought - see every dream
N' give her wings - if she wants to fly
Then when you find yourself lyin' helpless in her arms
You know you really love a woman

When you love a woman then tell her
that she's really wanted
When you love a woman then tell her that she's the one
'cause she needs somebody to tell her
that it's gonna last forever
So tell me have you ever really
- really really ever loved a woman?

To really love a woman
Let her hold you -
till you know how she needs to be touched
You've gotta breathe her - really taste her
Till you can feel her in your blood
N' when you can see your unborn children in her eyes
You know you really love a woman

When you love a woman
then tell her that she's really wanted
When you love a woman then tell her that she's the one
'cause she needs somebody to tell her
that you'll always be together
So tell me have you ever really -
really really ever loved a woman?

You got to give her some faith - hold her tight
A little tenderness - you gotta treat her right
She will be there for you, takin' good care of you
Ya really gotta love your woman...

Then when you find yourself lyin' helpless in her arms
You know you really love a woman
When you love a woman you tell her
that she's really wanted
When you love a woman you tell her that she's the one
she needs somebody to tell her
that it's gonna last forever
So tell me have you ever really
- really really ever loved a woman?

Just tell me have you ever really,
really, really, ever loved a woman? Just tell me have you ever really,
really, really, ever loved a woman?

and it began to rain

It is a gloomy afternoon; William is sitting on an old brown bench waiting for his grandson. Every year William sits on this particular spot, always waiting while touching his ring finger.

It makes him sad that his grandson, Matthew, doesn’t really care about his only daughter’s birthday.

As usual Matthew came late.

For the very first time, the patient grandfather loses his temper. He stood up, shouted and shook in anger. He is blaming his grandson for the death of his only child, Cristina. He asked Matthew why he doesn’t care. In the middle of his grandfather’s resentment Matthew just walked away that made William more furious.

Even though William has weak knees he still managed to follow his grandson while scolding at him. William paused as he wondered why is Matthew not answering back like he used to do.

The well-built young man stopped walking. His grandfather walked slowly behind him. The old man closed his eyes and feel the wind on his cheeks, he feels nostalgic about the place, he is really familiar with that particular spot. After awhile he walked in front of Matthew and faced him.

He looked at his grandson. Matthew looks haggard and sick, the dark lines around his eyes are very obvious, but he needs to confront his grandson no matter what, it’s time. William continues to examine his grandson that cannot even look straight to his eyes. He noticed that Matthew is wearing for the first time the black leather jacket he gave last Christmas.

William stared at the young man in his front with compassion. His heart melted when Matthew pulled something on his jacket’s pocket, it’s the ring he had been looking for many years, the ring he had lost, long time ago.

After seeing the significant ring, William quickly thought maybe the reason of his coming late was he searched for the ring, his wedding ring.

During this time he saw the loneliness and emptiness in the young man’s eyes. Somehow he felt a slight pinched in his heart for saying harsh words to Matthew. William said his sorry for hurting and blaming Matthew about the death of his mother. Matthew didn’t say anything but he burst into tears.

On the other hand, William was shocked for this is the first time he saw his conceited grandson cry. Matthew fell on bended knees and cried. He kissed the ring and put it on the ground, his grandfather was confused and looked down.

William didn’t realize he is standing on a tombstone. He saw his name written on it. RIP William C. Foster, a loving Father and the Best Grandfather.

Despite the revelation that he is already dead, William sweetly smiled at his grandson. His grandson fulfilled more than his wish, Matthew found the ring and he is now resting in peace with his beloved daughter Cristina D. Foster.

And it began to rain.
